Synopsis from Goodreads

1 Concert
2000 Miles
3 Ex-Best Friends

Alice, Summer, and Tiernan are ex-best friends.

Back in middle school, the three girls were inseparable. They were also the number one fans of the rock band Level3.

But when the band broke up, so did their friendship. Summer ran with the popular crowd, Tiernan was a rebellious wild-child, and Alice spent high school with her nose buried in books.

Now, just as the girls are about to graduate, Level3 announces a one-time-only reunion show.

Even though the concert’s 2000 miles away, Alice buys three tickets on impulse. And as it turns out, Summer and Tiernan have their own reasons for wanting to get out of town. Good thing Alice’s graduation gift (a pea-green 1976 VW camper van known as the Pea Pod) is just the vehicle to get them there.

But on the long drive cross-country, the girls hit more than a few bumps in the road. Will their friendship get an encore or is the show really over?

Review

Road trip. Check. Friendship drama. Check. More than one view point. Check.
This book had all the makings of the kind of book I would normally love and end up rating at least a 8 or 9, however for me there was just something a little off.
Don't get me wrong I didn't really enjoy the book. It was a light, fun read that was quick and entertaining. I liked the characters and the storyline, and for the most part I felt like it was really good.
Where then did it drop those three rating points? For me this book disappointed on two areas.
Firstly I liked that the chapters alternated between the viewpoint of the three girls, it was good to get the perspective of all of them, since there really were three main characters in the story. However I felt like the book would have been a lot easier to connect with, had it been written in alternating first person. I like to be able to get inside a characters head in stories like this one, and I feel like first person would have done that a lot better.
Secondly the ending just wasn't for me. It was a little too cheesy to be good, and when I read it I was a little disappointed.

Overall it's a good book and definitely worth a read if you're looking for something fun, quick and that'll make you smile.
