January TBR & 2018 Reading Goal

Hi all,
For the longest time, I haven't created a TBR for the month, so with the new year starting, I wanted to try it out again. So, for January I created a TBR with the help of my little sister, so half of these were my picks and half were hers. I have five different category's and we both picked one book each for that category.

Classic

My pick: 12 Years a Slave by Solomon Northup.
My sister's pick: Little Women by Louisa May Alcott.

Young Adult

My pick: Wayfarer by Alexander Bracken.
My sister's pick: It's Kind of a Funny Story by Ned Vizzini.

Adult Fiction / Non-Fiction

My pick: A Mighty Long Way: Carlotta Walls LaNier.
My sister's pick: Victoria by Daisy Goodwin.

E-Book

My pick: Scarlet by Marissa Meyer.
My sister's pick: After Anna by Alex Lake.

Netgalley

My pick: 147 Things by Jim Chapman.
Genuine Fraud by E. Lockhart.

Most Anticipated YA Books of 2018

Hi all,
With the new year approaching it was time for me to start looking into what books I may be interested in, little did I know that I'd end up with over seventy books on my list so far and that's just going through the Young Adult and a few Historical fiction books.
I can't list all of them here, because that would be insane. So, I've broken it down to just the YA books and just the ones I'm most anticipating. There are a lot of releases from authors I already love and some from new authors for me.

Bout of Books | 10.0 | TBR, Goals and News

Hi guys,
Bout of Books 10.0 is just around the corner, but there's still time to sigh up if you head on over to Bout of Books. It starts May 12th, so be sure to get yourself signed up.
I have a little news before I hop into my TBR and goals for the read-a-thon. This time around, I'm going to be working as a Bout of Books Expert.
What does being an expert mean? Well, it's quite simple really. The hosts of Bout of Books have been doing such a fantastic job running this event, that it's become so popular that they need a little help. Hence, the experts.
My role as one of the experts will be to go around to blogs of participants, and make sure that everyone is encouraged. It'll mean interacting with other people taking part through their blogs, social media sites and so on.
I'm excited to do this, because I love seeing people's progress during read-a-thons, and connecting with other readers/bloggers.

Ok. Now that we've got that part done. Let's move onto my TBR and Goals.

Goals

  1. Read 5 books
  2. Review all of the books I read
  3. Listen to an audio book
  4. Read a total of 1,200 pages
  5. Finish at least one ARC/Netgalley
TBR
  1. We Are Called to Rise by Laura McBride (Netgalley)
  2. Breaking Point by Kristen Simmons
  3. Return to Me by Justina Chen
  4. Fragile Line by Brooklyn Skye
  5. Bittersweet by Sarah Ockler (Audio book)
I'm hugely excited to get started with Bout of Books 10.0, and I'm hoping to be able to reach all of my goals. Let me know what your goals are in comments, or leave a link to your own goal post/video if you like.
Be sure to subscribe to my site for daily updates on my progress, and of course all of the reviews.

Let me know what you've been reading this month, and what you plan on reading in April. I'd love to know.

February Wrap Up and March TBR

Hi guys,
It's that time again, one month is over and we're into the next which for me of course means that it's time to do a slightly belated wrap-up and TBR post. For February I was trying to do eleven books, which I didn't quite meet, but I did do pretty well, and I read some great stuff.
So without further ado, let's get into it.
Want to compare what I read to what I planned on reading in February? Check out my February TBR

Twelve books in March might be a little ambitious, but I'm really hoping that I'll be able to get it done. I am going to be doing a read-a-thon, and they always help, and I'm going away for a few days so I'll have a lot of internet free reading time. I'm hoping that I'll be able to get twelve done, even if it's not the twelve that's on the list.

September 2013 Wrap-Up & October 2013 TBR

Hi guys,

It's the start of a new month, which means it's time for me to write up my wrap up/TBR post. I managed to do pretty well in September. In no small part due to the Fall into Reading Read-a-Thon I took part in. So I have quite a bit to get through now. So here goes.

Wrap Up

  1. The Moon and More by Sarah Dessen
  2. Merch Girl by Rebecca Lewis
  3. The Lucy Variations by Sara Zarr
  4. It's Not Summer Without You  by Jenny Han
  5. Six Dates with Jenna by Cynthia L. Moyer
  6. We'll Always Have Summer by Jenny Han
  7. Scott Pilgrim vs The World: Precious Little Life Vol 1 by Bryan Lee O'Malley
  8. Click to Subscribe by L.M Augustine
  9. The Future of Us  by Jay Asher and Carolyn Mackler
  10. Cinder by Marissa Meyer
  11. That Summer by Sarah Dessen
  12. Weird Things Customers Say in Bookshops by Jen Campbell
Book of the month: The Future of Us  by Jay Asher and Carolyn Mackler

October TBR

  1. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
  2. Me and Earl and The Dying Girl by Jesse Andrews
  3. The Cherry Orchard by Anton Chekov
  4. Uglies  by Scott Westerfeld
  5. The Collected Stories of Katherine Mansfield by Katherine Mansfield
Book I'm most looking forward to: Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

I'm aiming for a smaller list of books in October because I start my final university module, so I'm going to be pretty busy with that. Though it is a literature course, and two of the books on my TBR are study ones. I'm pretty sure there's going to be a lot of textbook reading as well, so I'm not going to aim for too many novels.

Let me know what you've been reading/plan to read, by commenting below with your list or link to your post/video.
