Hi all,

January is usually my best month when it comes to reading, that and December. It has a lot to do with starting or ending a new Goodreads reading challenge.

This year, I set my goal at 100 books and I made quite the dent this month.

So, I didn't do that well on my TBR, reading just three books from my list of ten. I also didn't get a lot of reading done from mu extensive shelf collection, but I am pleased I managed to get through so many NetGalley books. Amongst them, I found some amazing graphic novels, poetry books, and novels. I'm also thrilled I managed to finished thirty-five books. It's given me a very nice boost for my 2018 reading goal.

2017 | Top 10 Books

Hi all,

This year has been quite the year in books. 2017 saw the release of John Green's long-awaited new book. I found myself discovering new authors who quickly wound up on my favorite author's list. I branched out, not only in genre but also listening to a lot more audiobooks and I started juggling four or more books at one time.

I read a total of 102 books (I have a full reading stats post up that you can check out). Out of those books, there were a lot that fell short, but I wound up with 21 books on my shortlist for best book of the year and I had to narrow that down to just ten. It was not an easy job, but eventually, I picked my best books of 2018. As always, this will be my top 10 favorite books that I read in the year, not just limited to 2017 releases.

September 2017 | Wrap-Up

With autumn officially here, I was back in a reading mood and found myself happily curling up under a blanket with a cup of coffee, reading for hours on end. Can you believe 2016 is over already? It seems to have gone so fast, but here we are in a brand new year! 

As always, I've compiled a list of my top ten books I read this year. I have to say it was a great year for me, my shortlist of books on Goodreads was 32 books long and it took me a while to narrow it down and put it in an order. I figured it out in the end, though, so here it is. My top ten books of 2016 and some reading stats too.

March 2016 | Wrap-Up

Hi Guys,

March went well for me. Or, to be more specific, the end of March went really well for me. I was determined to get some more books finished before the end of the month, because with Camp NaNoWriMo in April, I'm anticipating having fewer books completed. So I set myself a goal. With four days left in the month, I wanted to get three more books done. Then I finished eight. Four I finished today.

Wow. I didn't even realise how many books I'd read, until I sat down to write this post. I'm pretty impressed that I got sixteen books done.

This month has been great for audiobooks, a few on the list above were from Audible. I'm getting really into listening to memoirs and autobiographies with Audible.

On top of that, I've read a lot more adult fiction this month too, and not just focussed on a lot of YA, which tends to be my most read genre. 

I also feel that this month has given me a boost, so I can focus on writing in April, and know that I'm still ahead for my yearly goal.

February 2016 | Wrap Up

Hi all,

March is here, and I'm excited for Spring, even if the weather outside today is still firmly Winter. To wrap up my Winter reading, I got through a few books in February, though not as many as January, I'm happy with the amount. It's kept me firmly on track to reaching my goal for the year.

Also, notably in February, I went back to the library. This is something I haven't done in a year or two, so it was so great to go back in. Now I have a stack of library books to get through, and deadlines to return them, which gives me extra motivation to actually pick them up.

So, here's what I've been reading in February.

So, for the shortest month of the year, I'm pretty happy with seven reads. Of these seven, only one made it onto my shortlist for top ten books of the year, which is quite a difference from the five which made it in January. So, here's hoping that in March, I'll be able to beat both the number I read in February, and add a few more great reads to my shortlist.

The end of the month again, and as far as reading goes May went really well for me. This is in no small part due to the Bout-of-Books read-a-thon, in which I read 8 books. So now I have my wrap-up post and TBR.
