2013 Wrap Up: My Top 10 Books

Hi guys,

The year is over, and I have to say I read some pretty incredible books this year. 100 in total. Smashing my goodreads goal of 75.
It's been a pretty tough task to narrow those 100 books down into my top 10, but I did it and so now I'm going to share my list with you.

10.

'Fantastic part of an amazing series, loved it.'

9.

'This was by far my favourite part of the series.'

8.

'Witty, well written, amazing.'

7.

'Love this series, this book was equal parts heartbreaking and terrifying.'

6.

'You can't go wrong with Dessen, and I think this one may be my favourite of hers.'

5.

'I didn't expect to love this so much, it was surprisingly brilliant.'

4.

'One of the best series ends I've ever read.'

3.

'Funny, sweet, and enjoyable. It was a great read.'

2.

'Hooked me from start to end. Fantastic.'

1.

'Made me laugh out loud, and cry so much I couldn't see the page. If you haven't read it yet, you really should!'

So there we have it, my top 10 of 2013. Despite what this list may lead you to believe, I didn't just read YA fiction in 2013, so if you want to take a look at all of the books I read, you can check out my Goodread's Challenge Page.
What were some of your favourite books of 2013? Leave a link to your favourites list blog post or video, or leave your responses in the comments. I'd love to hear from you guys.

I'll soon be posting a list of reading goals for 2014, so check back soon and share with me some of your goals for the new year.

  1. I haven't read any of these...but I am very curious about Lauren Oliver and Sarah Dessen...their books seem to grab a lot of readers.

    1. I would highly recommend Sarah Dessen's books. I've read all but one and have yet to find one I didn't like.
Lauren Oliver is really good too, I don't love her writing as much as Sarah Dessen's, but it's definitely worth reading. The Delirium series is fantastic.

I'll check out your post now.

  2. I noticed Sarah Dessen books also popping up on book bloggers reviews. So glad you had such a nice 2013. Hope you reach your goal of 100 books read in 2014. That is the goal I set for myself this year also.

    1. Thanks. I just finished my first book of the year, and I'm doing a read-a-thon in a few days which should help, so I'm feeling pretty good.
I hope you make it to your goal as well.

  3. It amazing how many of people's favorite books are books I've never heard of. Guess the book industry is still quite varied.
