Book Review | Perfect (Pretty Little Liars #3) by Sara Shepard

1651302In Rosewood, Pennsylvania, four perfect-looking girls aren't nearly as perfect as they seem.

Aria can't resist her forbidden ex. Hanna is on the verge of losing her BFF. Emily is freaking out over a simple kiss. And Spencer can't keep her hands off anything that belongs to her sister.

Lucky me. I know these pretty little liars better than they know themselves. But it's hard keeping all of their secrets to myself. They better do as I say . . . or else!

Review
It's not often that I prefer the on screen version more than the book version. It sometimes happens that I like them both equally, but in this case, I have to say I do prefer the way the show has taken this series, to how the books are.
I don't know if this is because I started the show, a while before reading the books. It's just that, I can't help but compare characters, events and story progression to the show while I'm reading these books.
I like the books, but I love the show.
In the books, I do like seeing how things play out differently, and what things the show changed. I like that it's got a slower pace, so we get to see more. My main issue, is that right at this moment, I don't particularly like any of the characters.
In the show, I have my favorites (Aria, Ezra, Spencer), but the way each of these people are portrayed in the books, just doesn't have me as excited to keep reading, as I am to keep watching the show.
I am interested in where the books will go, and how different it'll be. I'm hoping that once I get further into the series, I'll start liking some of the characters a little more.
All in all, I like the series and it's one I will definitely finish. There are just areas it could improve for me, but I'm holding out hope that I'll start to love it soon.

6/10
