A beautiful and distinguished family.
A private island.
A brilliant, damaged girl; a passionate, political boy.

Wow. Can I just say that, because if I was only given one word to describe this book, then I think it would have to be that one.
I wasn't really sure what to expect when I started reading We Were Liars. I honestly didn't know much about the storyline at all, and from things I'd read about it on different blogs, and seen on youtube, that was kind of the point.
Going into this book not knowing much about it, was definitely the right choice.
The writing style in this book was stunning. In fact, the entire book was stunning. It became a very hard to put down book pretty early on. With a host of wonderful characters, and a captivating storyline that keeps you interested. We Were Liars is definitely one of the best books I've read this year.
It was interesting, and unique and had a simple honesty to it which I really loved, and above all else it's not a predictable book.
There really isn't too much more I can say, other than that this was an amazing book and I highly recommend it.
